Overview
Food and Health Science (FHS) is a dynamic subject that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, focusing on food nutrition, food safety, and the application of culinary techniques in the kitchen.
Students gain a solid understanding of the science behind food and human health, including nutritional principles, food safety standards, and healthy eating concepts. Beyond core knowledge, the subject also develops essential soft skills such as teamwork, effective communication, and the use of artificial intelligence tools.
The teaching approach emphasizes bilateral pedagogy. Students collaborate closely with classmates from diverse cultural, linguistic, and perspective backgrounds. Through group discussions, scientific investigations, and hands-on kitchen practicals, they develop critical thinking and cross-cultural communication skills.
