Elective SubjectF.4 – F.6 English & Chinese Streams

Overview

The Chemistry curriculum aims to provide students with meaningful and engaging learning experiences that build scientific literacy and prepare them for a rapidly changing, knowledge-based society. Students develop a solid foundation in chemical concepts, including matter, chemical reactions, acids and bases, energetics, and the relationship between chemistry and everyday life.

Our teaching approach emphasises inquiry-based learning and scientific investigation. Students are encouraged to ask questions, design experiments, analyse data, and think critically and creatively. Laboratory work plays a central role in developing practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and safe working habits.

To enrich learning, we organise activities such as Elephant Toothpaste experiments, making artificial blood, and other hands-on demonstrations that spark curiosity. Industrial visits, including the Yakult factory, allow students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications. Both English and Chinese streams are available to cater to diverse learning needs.
